Donate

The best way to donate to EkeRua ReBicycle is via our GiveaLittle page.

Be aware, a small part of your donation will go to covering their fees and it can take up to 50 days to process payments. However, GiveaLittle will automatically give you a receipt for tax purposes – this helps cut down on our administration time, which means we can get back to the tools!

Alternatively, you can make a donation directly to our bank account:

Account name: RE-BICYCLE CHARITABLE TRUST
Account number: 38-9018-0109320-00

Email accounts@rebicycle.nz with your details if you would like a receipt. We are a registered charity.

What your donation supports

Your donation will help to complete the bike ‘package’ with much needed extras to keep our recipients riding safely on well-maintained bikes.

  • $10 provides a family with a pump, or puncture kit.

  • $20 is the cost of parts for an average bike repair (not including the volunteers’ time).

  • $50 provides someone with all the accessories they need to get going: a helmet, lock and lights.

  • $100 will cover the cost of replacement parts for a whole family's bikes.

  • $550 p/a or $46p/m takes you to top tier "whanau donor" status - this helps to cover our coordinator or mechanics time.

We aim to cover running costs through grants, sponsorship and funding or volunteer-power where possible, meaning your donations can go straight back to the people and whānau we support. However, when needed, your donation may be used to cover other expenses (operating costs such as workshop upkeep, tools, insurance, coordinator/mechanics time when needed, etc). Please tell us if you would like your donation spent on anything specific.

If you donate a full suspension, cyclocross or similarly niche bike in excellent condition please be aware that it may be auctioned to fundraise to get more general purpose bikes out to a greater number of people. If you prefer the bike is not sold please inform us when you drop it off. You’re welcome to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about this.
